Kuhl Triplets Benefit

This past Saturday, Children of Fallen Riders presented a check to Kalie Kuhl. Having lost her husband in August of 2009, Kalie sat and talked with us Saturday at the benefit that took place at Jimmy V’s in Fox Lake.

Our mission continues, bittersweet is the only word that really comes to mind as part of Children of Fallen Riders. Present were Tim Adkins, Joe Dvorak and Susie Kleiner.

Kalie has three triplets that are now 18 months old, she shared with us the stories of her pregnancy and the driving force that her husband was during that time, her story sent shivers up our spines and silenced us all as we sat and listened to the days leading up to her husbands death.

During the run, Joe Dvorak asked everyone to take a moment and on the count of three shout a name of a Fallen Rider that you know, there was a lot of names being shouted.

This is not an uncommon story, and people often times are afraid to ask for assistance.
